Mass is at 10.30a.m. at St Theresa’s at, not St Columba’s, followed by the Blessing of the Peace Garden. All welcome.
LEPRA APPEAL – 6TH/7TH July:
There will be a retiring collection for this on 6th/7th July. See posters.
ST COLUMBA’S CAR PARK
A mini sink-hole has appeared in the car park between the hall and the church and has been coned off to prevent anyone driving over it. A surveyor has been to look at it and the contractors who laid the new car park are due to investigate and repair it.
ST COLUMBA’S COFFEE ROTA
The coffee rota is on the noticeboard in St Columba’s Hall. Please enter your name and good cause against your preferred dates. You could make £30-£50 for your chosen cause.

Our parish website is being developed to include more photos and news from both churches. There will be a complete renewal of information about the parish and information which it is hoped will be helpful. Please do check it out. There is an email address on the site for any comments you may have.
If you are NEW TO THE PARISH, you will find a new Parish Registration Form to be completed and sent to either parish office to let us know that you are here and enable us to welcome you to the parish. The form can be completed and submitted online or downloaded and printed out. Instructions are on the form, which can also be found in the front porches of both churches. You will find it on the Our Parish tab, under Welcome (side option Welcome).

LOURDES BY JUMBULANCE:
The Chester Across Group are going to Lourdes by Jumbulance from Thursday 15th to Saturday 24th August. We travel overland in an adapted coach, which has seven beds on board. Therefore, we can take some sick or disabled pilgrims and so far we have a Doctor and two nurses and several helpers. However, we need two more helpers and there is a place for someone who is sick or disabled. The cost is £1,095 but help with costs is available. Current Passport required. Travel Insurance is available for just £65. CHARITY BARN DANCE:

We need funds to cover education fees and medical expenses for the children of two Orphanages in Uganda.
YOUTH GROUP:
The next youth group meeting will be on Monday 15th July, 7pm start, finish 8.30pm at St. Columbas. Any young parishioner, Year 5 or above, is very welcome to come along for the last meeting before the summer holidays.

ST COLUMBA’S 60th ANNIVERSARY:
This will be in September. This is an opportunity to update the archives with events that have happened in the past 60 years. If anyone has any pictures/newspaper items/memorabilia relating to the Parish during this time, it would be very helpful. FISH AND CHIP BABIES:
The number of items sent off to Africa is now approaching 900. These include jumpers, hats, scarves blankets and knitted bags. The churches involved include Holy Ascension, St Columba’s, St Theresa’s St Clare’s, Upton URC, St Werburgh’s and now Caldy Valley Church. Many thanks to those of you who have been knitting. FREE WARTIME BIOGRAPHIES:
A lady from St Werburgh’s Church visited St. Columba’s. She brought in a book called “We Shall Remember Them” – Biographies of men associated with St. Werburgh’s Church” Apparently there is a misprint in them and are being given away for free.
