Elderly and Isolated

Pope Francis instituted the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly because “grandparents are often forgotten, and we forget this wealth of preserving roots and passing on what the elderly have received. The elderly reminds us that old age is a gift and that grandparents are the link between the different generations, to pass on to the young the experience of life.”

What can be done in our parish? Following the call of Pope Francis to celebrate the Elderly, our parish community aims at visiting and helping our elderly parishioners and the wider community. We thank all parishioners and SVP, who have taken the initiative to bring our elderly to Mass and distribute newsletters. Also, those who are still doing shopping and visit the elderly people especially during this pandemic.

We welcome all those who would like to join us in supporting the elderly in our community. Any ideas on how we can continue to do this ministry are welcome:
