I urge you to serve Jesus crucified in every marginalized person, for any reason; to see the Lord in every excluded person who is hungry, who is thirsty, who is naked; the Lord who is also present in those who have lost their faith, or who have strayed from living their faith, or who declare themselves atheists; the Lord who is in prison, who is sick, who has no work, who is persecuted; the Lord who is in the leper – in the body or in the soul – who is discriminated against! We do not discover the Lord if we do not authentically welcome the marginalized! (Pope Francis)
