THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – “The technologies that have been created through human skill should be used at the service of truly human ends. Technology must not be used to embed unjust economic systems and abuses of power, but must always be at the service of human development”. Pope Leo’s first encyclical: Magnifica humanitas, on preserving the human person in the age of artificial intelligence.

200 CLUB – The bank have informed us that we can no longer use the current account and would need to set up a new one.  This would incur a monthly fee and we would be charged for cheques written and money deposited.  In the light of this we have decided to end the 200 club.  The last draw will be the 5 July.  Funds remaining will be transferred to the parish account. Many thanks for all your support over the many years this has been running.

THE SPIRITANS – Thank you to all those who attended the Monday Mass with the Spiritan Fathers from the Liverpool region, also for the warm reception in the Newman Room. There were highly grateful to you. God bless.   Fr William
