LIVE STREAMING OF MASS – Mass will be streamed at St Theresa’s on Sunday 2 November at 9.30a.m.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY – The Children’s Liturgy normally happens at the 11a.m. service at St Columba’s on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. See the parish website under the Family tab.
HOLY SOULS – If you would like any deceased remembering during the month of November please put their names in an envelope marked HOLY SOULS and place it in the basket in front of the altar.
CONFESSIONS – After each weekday mass until 11.30a.m. At the weekend: St Columba’s: from 6.00-6.25p.m. on Saturday. And St Theresa’s; from 4.30-4.55 on Saturday.
WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS AND FUNERALS – Please contact one of the Parish Offices to make your arrangements.
YOUTH SUNDAY – Young volunteers are needed to welcome, collect and read on Youth Sunday, 23 November. If you are a young parishioner and would like to help on Youth Sunday at St.Columba’s please contact Denise Lusk (01244379742) , or to help at St. Theresa’s, contact Ann McCarthy. Thank you.
ADVENT BOOKLETS – If you would like us to order a copy of the “My Day by Day” Advent booklet for you, please put your name and telephone number on the list in church by Sunday 2 November.

DECEASED – Please remember in your prayers, Patricia Josephne Jones, Raymond Anthony Harrington and Victor Barber who died recently. Raymond’s funeral is at Blacon crematorium on Monday 17 November at 10.40am.
POPES PRAYER INTENTIONS For November – for the prevention of suicide 
Let us pray that those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts might find the support, care, and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.

CHURCHES TOHETHER IN UPTON- REMEMBRANCE SERVICE – CTU are holding a Remembrance Service at Holy Ascension Church next Sunday 9 November at 4.30 p.m. We have been invited to give one of the readings (Rev 21:1-8). If you would like to do this would you please contact David Savage on 01244 380626.

AUTUMN FAYRE 16 NOVEMBER – There will be soup and a sandwich or a hot dog all for the pricely sum of £2. Anyone wanting a table/stall or to to share a table to sell their goods please contact Margaret Curtis on 07876061993. There will of course be our usual bottle tombola.
Also the Christmas Party will be on Saturday 13 December. Donations of bottles etc are needed as prizes for The Tombola Stall at The Autumn Fair. Could you please leave them inside the entrance to St Columba’s and St Theresa’s.
ADVENT RETREAT- The Catholic movement Communion and Liberation (CL) will hold its Advent Retreat on Saturday, 29 November, at St Columba’s Parish. All parishioners are invited to take part.The retreat begins with a shared lunch at 12:30 p.m. in the Newman Room, followed by a spiritual lesson, silent reflection, assembly, and Holy Mass in the Iona Chapel. CTU CANDLELIT ADVENT SERVICE – Sunday 30 Nov at 4.30 pm, marking the First Sunday in Advent with our fellow Christians. Readings, prayer and well-known hymns with refreshments and social time to follow.

ADVENT PRAYER GROUP – As a legacy of the Jubilee Year, a new parish prayer group will meet during Advent on Tuesdays at 11:00am in the Iona Chapel (Nov 25, Dec 2, 9, 16 & 23). Sessions will last around 30 mins, focusing on the upcoming Sunday readings with time for personal reflection and shared discussion on their relevance to our daily lives. ST COLUMBA’S RED MISSION BOX HOLDERS – There will be three Red Mission boxes collections during the year: March, July and November. To have your box emptied, please leave it in the sacristy before the end of November, then pick up your empty, relabeled box from the rear porch.
