LIVE STREAMING OF MASS – Mass will be streamed at St Theresa’s on Sunday 14 June at 9.30am.

TUESDAY EVENING MASS ST COLUMBA’S – A number of parishioners have asked for more daily Masses to be celebrated. It has also been noted that weekday morning Masses cannot be attended by most working people. Accordingly, from Tuesday 23 June, an additional weekday Mass will be celebrated in St Columba’s Iona Chapel at 6.30 pm. This additional evening Mass has been introduced in the hope that more parishioners will be able to attend weekday Mass.
Ann McCarthy, Pauline Rourke, Co-chairs Pastoral Council

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – “Light tomorrow with today.” — Elizabeth Barrett Browning

200 CLUB – The bank has informed us that we can no longer use the current account and would need to set up a new one.  This would incur a monthly fee, and we would be charged for cheques written and money deposited.  In the light of this we have decided to end the 200 club.  The last draw will be the 5 July.  Funds remaining will be transferred to the parish account. Many thanks for all your support over the many years this has been running.

ST COLUMBA’S COFFEE ROTA – We need volunteers every Sunday after 11:00 Mass. To raise money for your good cause, please put your details on the sheet and let Margaret Curtis know on 01244 318424 or marg.curtis@outlook.com
14 June – volunteers please
21 June – volunteers please
28 June – Deacon Hordley’s retirement

PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING – The next meeting is on Tuesday June 16. If you have any matters you wish to raise please put your request in writing to the parish secretary by Monday 15 June. Thank you.
Ann McCarthy, Pauline Rourke co-chairs.

SUGGESTION BOXES – Thank you to everyone who has used the suggestion boxes. A dozen suggestions were received, and all have been considered by Fr William and the co-chairs of the Pastoral Council. Although it has not been possible to respond to every suggestion, all have been carefully noted, and a number will now be acted upon. In particular, suggestions relating to additional daily Masses, Masses for special intentions (including for bereaved parents), and the introduction of a parish course are now being planned. One suggestion, simply headed ‘Preparation for after Holy Communion’, was not entirely clear. If the person who submitted it would be willing to write again with a little more detail, we would be very grateful.

Please do continue to use the suggestion boxes. They provide an easy and valued way of sharing ideas that can help to strengthen and enrich our parish community.
Ann McCarthy and Pauline Rourke: Co-chairs, Pastoral Council
