APOSTLESHIP OF THE SEA COLLECTION:
There will be a second collection for the Apostleship of the Sea this week-end 13th/14th July. Please put any donations in the baskets provided in both porches. Many thanks for your generosity.
POPES PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR JULY:
For the pastoral care of the sick- Let us pray that the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick grant the Lord’s strength to those who receive it and to their loved ones, and that it may become for everyone an ever more visible sign of compassion and hope.
BISHOP’S VISITATION:
The Bishop will visit St Theresa’s on Sunday 14th July.
CONFESSIONS:
There will be Confessions after each weekday Mass until 11.30a.m.
St Columba’s: From 6p.m. before the 6.30p.m. Saturday evening Mass.
St Theresa’s: From 4.30p.m. before 5p.m. Saturday evening Mass.

Mass is at 10.30a.m. at St Theresa’s at, not St Columba’s, followed by the Blessing of the Peace Garden. All welcome.
FR DESMOND WILSON CUSP:
Our assistant parish priest Fr Desmond Wilson CSSP will be leaving at the end of August. We thank him for his services to our parish and we wish him well in his next assignment.
ST COLUMBA’S CAR PARK:
The mini sink-hole has been filled in with a temporary repair. The contractors will monitor it to see if it has stabilised before replacing the tarmac surface. Pauline Rourke

If you are NEW TO THE PARISH, you will find a new Parish Registration Form to be completed and sent to either parish office to let us know that you are here and enable us to welcome you to the parish. LOURDES BY JUMBULANCE:
The Chester Across Group are going to Lourdes by Jumbulance from Thursday 15th to Saturday 24th August. We travel overland in an adapted coach, which has seven beds on board. Therefore, we can take some sick or disabled pilgrims and so far we have a Doctor and two nurses and several helpers. However, we need two more helpers and there is a place for someone who is sick or disabled. The cost is £1,095 but help with costs is available. Current Passport required. Travel Insurance is available for just £65. YOUTH GROUP:
The next youth group meeting will be on Monday 15th July, 7pm start, finish 8.30pm at St. Columba’s. Any young parishioner, Year 5 or above, is very welcome to come along for the last meeting before the summer holidays.

This will be in September. This is an opportunity to update the archives with events that have happened in the past 60 years. FREE WARTIME BIOGRAPHIES:
A lady from St Werburgh’s Church visited St. Columba’s. She brought in a book called “We Shall Remember Them” – Biographies of men associated with St. Werburgh’s Church” Apparently there is a misprint in them and are being given away for free.
