Carol has worked in the parish office for many years and retired a few years ago. However, she willingly returned when the parish needed her and she is now taking her (final), well-deserved retirement. There can’t be many members of the parish who don’t owe their thanks to her for some service she has given and it was with great appreciation that parishioners gathered after mass on Wednesday 31st July to wish her well. Fr William presented her with a Papal Blessing from His Holiness, Pope Francis, and there were flowers, cards and good wishes from all gathered. At Carol’s request it was a low-key celebration, so much so that at one point, she could not be found! She knows that she is held in great affection by many, and we shall look forward to still seeing her at mass. God bless you, Carol.
