Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir is a joyful and welcoming group where young voices come together to learn music, grow in faith, and serve our parish community. Open to children of all musical backgrounds, the choir offers a supportive environment to explore singing, develop musical skills, and understand the beauty of the Church’s liturgy. Beyond the music, the choir is a place where lasting friendships are formed, teamwork is encouraged, and fun is part of every rehearsal. As they sing at Masses and special celebrations, children not only grow in confidence and faith—they also experience the joy of praising God together.

The Joy of Singing – 2024/2025

This past year has been full of music, growth, and joy for our Children’s Choir. We learned more than 40 songs, including the special children’s song for the Jubilee. Our guitarists made great progress, learning many new chords and rhythms, while our singers worked on sustaining their voices for longer periods and maintaining consistent volume.
Music also became a way for us to serve others. We visited a local nursing home to give a small concert for the residents.
With the generous help of parents (and their amazing baking skills!), we raised funds to cover music licenses for the children’s repertoire.
A highlight of the year was writing our own choir pieces, including a joyful Alleluia and a heartfelt Lamb of God. We were blessed to sing at 11 Masses and 2 adoration celebrations, using our talents to serve our parish.
We ended the academic year with a celebration full of fun, friendship, and pizza-making—a perfect way to reflect on all we had accomplished.

Looking Ahead to 2025/2026

As we look forward to a new year of singing and playing together, we hope to:
• Expand our repertoire with more beautiful songs
• Grow our percussion sessions and learn new rhythms
• Continue improving our guitar technique and musical knowledge
• Build confidence in solos—both instrumental and vocal
• Strengthen our singing skills and vocal range
• Compose our own Holy, Holy and Gloria
• Bring joy to our parishioners and wider community through music
• Deepen our friendships and continue having fun together
• Keep growing in faith as we serve through songs
We can’t wait to see what this new year brings!
