Bishop Mark’s visit to St Columba’s Church May 2024
Over the weekend 26th and 27th May, the Bishop of Shrewsbury, Rt Rev Mark Davies, made a parish visitation to St Columba’s Church, where he celebrated mass on Saturday evening and on Sunday morning. The mass was well attended and Bishop Mark presided with reverence and dignity. In his homily, he echoed the call of Pope Francis that we all make this a year of prayer, in our private lives and as a community.
After mass, Bishop Mark joined parishioners in the Hall for the usual coffee and social conversation which is a friendly feature of St Columba’s. He met and spoke with members of each table before departing.
